Briyanna Desrosiers
TerryMcGee also a senior from North Lawndale College Prep, has top state rankings in three events: the 55 meters (6.57), 200 meters (22.39) and 400 meters (51.11).  Terry is also a member of North Lawndale's top ranked 4 x 200 and 4 x 400 relay teams.  
The WFF February Athlete of the Month is Briyanna Desrosiers of North Lawndale College Prep.  Briyanna has dominated four events in Illinois through February.  Ranked #1 in the State for the 200 meters (24.70) and the 400 meters (55.04), this quarter mile time also currently ranks Briyanna #5 in the Country.  This North Lawndale star has also run (7.26) in the 55 meter dash and leaped (17' 1") in the long jump. Briyanna will be attanding Texas A&M this Fall on a track scholarship.
Ti Fonte Hunt, the #1 ranked hurdler in Illinois, is the WFF March Athlete of the Month. The Thornton Township Senior ran (7.44) in the 55 High Hurdles and (7.95) in the 60 High Hurdles. TiFonte is also a member of the Wildcat’s #1 ranked 4x200 relay team (1:30.88). Ti Fonte has accepted a scholarship at NIU this Fall.

Bloom Township’s Brittany Thomas is the WFF March Athlete of the Month. The Bloom senior is one of Illinois’ top sprinters posting season bests in the 55 dash (7.24), 60 dash (7.70), 200 (25.61), 400 (1:03) and anchors Bloom’s 5th ranked 4x200 (1:43.78).

Terry McGee of North Lawndale posted April best times of 10.88 in the 100 meter, 21.77 in the 200 meter and 51.10 in the 400 meter. Terry also anchored his 4x100 relay to a 44.44 and the 4x200 Relay in 1:32.50

Ebony McClendon was selected for this month’s honors for her exceptional performances in 4 events. The Brooks senior posted season best times of 11.81 in the 100 meters, 24.36 in the 200 meters and anchored the Brooks 4x100 relay in 48.54 and the 4x200 relay in 1:44.19

Joliet Central's Raul Rosendo is the WFF's September Athlete of the Month. Raul is being recognized for his outstanding cross country performances at the Plainfield Central Inv., Joliet Central Inv. & especially his 22nd place finish (15:14 - 3 miles) at the Richard Spring Invitational.

Lane Tech's Maggie Scholle is our September Athlete of the Month. The Warrior Sophomore finished 17th at the Richard Spring invitational, 3rd at the Wauconda Inv. and 1st at the Ziomek Inv. with a time of 18:32 over the 5K course.

Thornton Township’s Ti’Fonte Hunt was again awarded AOTM honors for his performances in May. Ti’Fonte contributed to All-State performances in the 4x100 Relay (3rd place in 41.63) and in the 4x200 Relay (2nd Place in 1:26.26), he was also part of the State’s fastest 4x100 Relay of the season in 41.43 at the HF Sectional. The Thornton Senior also dominated in the sprints & hurdles with personal best times of 21.83 in the 200 Meters, 300 Hurdles in 39.53 and in the 110 Hurdles, a Runner-Up finish at the State Meet in 14.17 .

Ebony McClendon was the May Athlete of the Month for her performances at the Sectional and State Meets. At State, Ebony placed in 4 events, pacing her Brooks team to an overall 5th place finish. Ebony was All-State in all 4 events: 2nd in the 100 (11.80), 2nd in the 200 (24.39), 3rd in the 4x200 (1:42.23) and 5th in the 4x100 (48.76).

Walmer Saavedra of Chicago’s Lindbloom High School, is the WFF October Athlete of the Month. Walmer was runner-up (15:36) at the Regional and the Bensenville Sectional Champion (15:33). The Lindbloom Junior saved his season best performance for the State Cross Country Meet finishing 15th place at (14:58).

Lane Tech’s Maggie Scholle is the October Athlete of the Month. The LT Sophomore was Regional Champion (18:19), 7th at the Sectional (17:46) and 43rd at the State Cross Country Meet (17:43).
