Hannah Morris

Clayton Mendez of Whitney Young was 'in a zone' while running the 3200 at the Proviso West Invitational on 2/25. The Dolphin Junior ran away from the field clocking a meet record, state leading and #2 national ranking 9:01.89.

Bloom Township's Hannah Morris is being recognized for her all-state caliber performances in the 55 Meter Dash 7.38 and 19' 9.5" in the Long Jump.

Morgan Park's Juwan Denton demonstrated skills in multiple events: 8.57 in the 60 M. Hurdles, 22.50 in the 200, 21' 6.75" Long Jump and ran a leg on Morgan Park's 1:33.36 800 Meter Relay. Juwan even tossed the Shot 42'.

At the Illinois Top Times Meet, 3/25, Bloom Township senior Jelena Rowe leaped 6'1", this currently is the best jump in the State and Nation.

Clayton completed his outstanding season by winning the Chicago Public League, IHSA 3A Regional and Sectional Championships, and racing to a Runner-Up finish at the State Meet with a personal record 14:22 over the 3 mile course.

The TFN Senior finish 2nd in both the SSC Blue Conference and IHSA 2A Regional meets. At the Sectional Adriana qualified for State with a 12th place finish. At the State Meet she finished 140th place covering the 3 mile course in 19:47.
